Quickstart - CoreBase

Get your app connected to CoreBase in just a few steps. You can either use our CLI to generate a fresh starter project or manually install the library into an existing project.

Use the CLI (Recommended)
Manual Installation

Initialize the project

Run the CLI to create a new CoreBase application.

npx create-corebase-app <app-name>

Select a template

Choose your preferred framework when prompted:

? Select a template: (Use arrow keys)
❯ React+corebase
  Next.js+corebase

Enter your API key

Provide your Public API Key from the CoreBase dashboard.

? Enter your public api key: (Use arrow keys)
❯ pk_...

Run the application

Navigate to your new project and start the development server.

cd <app-name>
npm run dev

Now you can see your app dev server running at localhost:3000 or localhost:5173.

Install the client library

Install the CoreBase client library in your existing project.

npm install corebase-js

If you use React or React Native, you can optionally install the React types:

npm install --save-dev @types/react

Initialize the client

Connect to your project using your API Key and URL. You can find these details in your CoreBase dashboard.

const corebase = createClient(CLIENT_URL, API_KEY);
